We have been after fast action and eating size fish lately due to the spawn but still catching some nice ones. We predominantly use spinning gear and fish the shallow tailrace area around rocks.

We recently fished a few days on the Mississippi near New Orleans. Storms chased us off the water early but we landed some nice fish. We typically do trips down there in the fall, it's the best catfishing in the world. Not uncommon to catch over a thousand pounds of fish in a day.

This week we had a great family and friends trip on a 2 boat trip we boated over 60 fish with several being large fish which we release after pictures and they also kept around 40 smaller fish for a fish fry!

Had an awesome time with Jason last week on Guntersville Lake we caught a 75,58,57,42,30 pounder along with some smaller ones dragging cut skipjack in 30-40ft of water.
Had a blast with Copeli and her family from KY! Copeli landed a 60 pounder for our efforts and it truly was a blessing to be able to spend the day with her! She is a special girl and a true outdoors enthusiast!

Bite has been very good catching fish on cut bait in 25-30ft most days....biggest fish of the year so far was caught, weighing 90 pounds!
