Sheepshead bite has remained world class the last couple weeks. Limits in less than a few hours on this weeks trip.
Overall I expect the bite to stay good through November until water temps drop below 65ish.
With some nasty wind coming next week it looks like downtime for the fleet but after the blow expect shallow water redfish to start their winter time chew.
Offshore expect cobia to fire up on the wrecks as the water temps get into the happy low 70s.
All day 10/12 hour trips should yeild plenty of Triggerfish, vermillion snapper, mutton snapper, mangrove snapper...

The bull reds are still here and lots of sheepshead are being caught. When you can get offshore, bottom fishing is still good- lots of red snapper, triggerfish, jacks and some black seabass showing up. I made one trip offshore catching mostly red snapper, lots of seabass (mostly shorts) and a few ring tail porgie. They had a great time bending the rods!

September and October were fabulous months out there. We had a very hot tarpon bite on the St. Johns River. We also had fair action on spotted seatrout, sandtrout and mangrove snapper. We caught a hand full of redfish and black bass in the brackish waters and we caught a couple of Bull Reds as well. Hurricane Ian wasn't severe in Jacksonville but we got a significant amount of rain which muddied the St. Johns River and slowed things down. The water should be cleared up any day now. As temperatures drop, I am expecting the snook to turn on...

As temperatures drop, I am expecting the snook to turn on in some of the river tributaries and redfish and spotted seatrout action should take off in the ICW. Sometimes the juvenile tarpon fishing can be good as well the water first cools.

Inshore fishing has been good with flounder, sheepshead and a good bull redfish bite. Ian has offshore waters stirred up but the bite for bottom fishing has been good for snapper, beeliners, triggerfish and some seabass. As the water cleans up some striking
fish should show up like king mackerel, barracuda, and jacks. Here are pictures of most recent fish.

Hey Hannah, the redfish bite is still steady. With the flood tides target grass lines with a popping cork and a live mullet or shrimp on a 1/0 circle hook. For the bull reds target the inlets with either live mullet, blue crab or cut bait on a 3/0 hook with minimal weight. Slack tides will produce the best fishing. Flounder, same ole story. Target creek mouths, bends and sandbars. The snook bite is the best it's been in a couple of weeks. Target most of the same area's as the smaller refs and flounder with live shrimp or finger...

In the St. John's River the everything is still keyed in on shrimp as they thin out. Use a slip cork rig with a 1/0 to 3/0 hook and pitch up close to natural shoreline and hold on. You can expect to catch everything from largemouth, striped bass, red fish and catfish. Currently we are experiencing higher than usual flood tides so the fishing is tough but once you find them the bite is pretty good.

The red fish bite is still good despite them being spread out a little in the creeks and flats. Most are staging in the inlets for the mullet run and spawning.
Flounder and drum bite is still good. Look for both in creek corners and creek mouths for the flounder.
The water temperature will start to drop in the next few weeks so we can expect to start seeing some triple tail more often and the trout bite will get better.
We’re also picking up snook in residential canals and creeks on the falling tide.

along with big jacks and Spanish mackerel. Target the pogy pods just off the beach or in the surf.

Captain Mike was great. Very personable and an unbeatable attitude! Got us on some fish and was as excited as we were. Couldn’t have hoped for better!! Put up with corny jokes, movie references, an a thousand questions with a smile. An it was genuine!! My first time out and when I go back it will be with him!!

    Trip: Offshore Hook-Up

We had an incredible fishing trip today with Elio! He went above and beyond to make sure my boys had an unforgettable time. From spotting dolphins to catching sharks and landing some absolute monsters, every moment was exciting. One of the highlights was letting my son throw the cast net. He had so much fun bringing in a ton of bait, and Elio made him feel like part of the crew. It was an experience my boys will be talking about for a long time. Elio truly knows how to make a fishing trip fun for the whole family. We would absolutely book another trip with him and highly recommend him to anyone looking for an amazing day on the water!

I cannot recommend Captain Dan highly enough. We booked him to take us out on the water to spread my mom and dad's ashes, and he made a very emotional day so much easier. He had absolutely everything we needed ready to go. His communication was outstanding leading up to the trip, during the day, and even checking in afterward. He took incredibly good care of our family and provided amazing support throughout the entire experience. To top it all off, he took some fantastic photos that we will cherish forever. Thank you, Captain Dan, for your professionalism and kindness!

Captain Jon was great. He was very knowledgeable of the area and where to go to find the best fishing. He communicates very well and was willing to work with us on the boat ram location due to a fishing tournament during the same time as our charter. He kept us informed and taught tips and tricks to help throughout our time with him. Next time we are in Jacksonville we will be looking him up again.
