The red grouper bite is off the chain. You can get some anywhere from forty feet out to as deep as you want to go. The red snapper have been hidden. Most of the bigger keepers are in deep water one hundred to one hundred and forty feet deep. Down bigger baits equal bigger fish. The usual cut beats whether ladyfish or mullet, or bunker whichever you'd like to call them. Are working great!

Save your live beats for areas where there are good fish and remember everything eats squid!

The bottom Fishing has been good.
Look for bait stacks.
The usual frozen baits are the best thing to start with.
The when the bite starts to slow switch to live baits. Pinfish are working.
But live sardines and live cigar, minnows are working the best..

When the wind isn't blowing.
The offshore bait has been fair to good.
Find some shallower numbers in forty 52 fifty foot of water and start there. You'll get a few red grouper. Some big gags, you have to throw back and a few keeper red snapper.
So if you move out to 80 to a 100 foot, there are a few more reds grouper and snapper sardines cigar, minos. Thread, herring are all good baits. The fresher or liver, they are, the better they are.
With this full moon, the tide's running hard, so you'll need a few more ounces of lead...

The redfish bite is very good, especially at higher tide stages. The baits of choice have been soft plastics on an eighth or sixteenth-ounce jig head. Look for schools of bait and start fishing there.

The trout bite has been good as well—it’s a bit of a hunt-and-peck approach. The same soft plastics are working, with colors like Golden Glow, Watermelon Red Glitter, and Kitchen Sink. Use eighth- to quarter-ounce jig heads.

Book a trip and we’ll show you firsthand.

Fishing report for the weekend of Easter. We are catching a lot of red fish. Most of them overslot, there are some keepers mixed in.We are also catching a lot of speckled sea trout.
Eight ounce red gold or pink jigheads with avocado red glitter watermelon, red glitter, golden glow or kitchen sink colors have been the best.
Shorelines with jumping, mullet and glass meadows are the places to work any place. There's a hole urgency or a little bit of structure. You want it to work it double time.
As always, if you wanna see firsthand give us a call and...

The beautiful weather this time here is great for getting offshore.
Closer to shore, the seeps had bite is on 🔥.
The minimum amount of weight to get to the bottom with a number 1 or 1/0 hook and live shrimp, sand fleas or fiddlers.
Remember less is more smaller shrimp and fiddler's work just as good.If not even better than the big select shrimp.
Offshore, the fish are starting to feed good. The red grouper bite has been very good in forty to sixty feet of water.
To throw in a good time, we're catching a handful of big gags...

Live bates.Work really good, but so do frozen sardines and thread.Fin herring.
And while you're out there, small pieces of squid will fill your cooler with grunts lane.Snapper and other tasty bottomfish.
If you want to experience this firsthand give us a call.We have a few dates left around the easter. But we're filling up quick

This time of the year, the fish are transitioning from creeks to the flats.
Best thing to catch them is find mullet or bait.
If you find comorants diving there is most likely bait there.Try matching the hatch shrimp. Not necessarily big, small, pinfish, or cut baits
We're catching red fish trout flounder and sheepshead

Spring is coming soon, and love is in the air. Or the water. These sheep's heads are moving out to the oyster bars. And then to fifteen to thirty feet of water.
Best beats are fiddler, crabs, small shrimp sand flees and brined claws.
I prefer to use a fish finder rig with number 1 or 1/0 hooks and the bare minimum wait to hold it down.
If you see a bunch of fish come to the surface, the bite should be shortly after.
Also our shrouders are starting to move out to the mouths of the creeks and on...

Soft plastics on appropriately weighted jig heads work. The best, but a shrimp-tipped jig head will catch them, and you'll also get flounder and black drum...
If you'd like to see this firsthand book a trip.

With the cold cold temps. We're using live shrimp on on a jig head or a carolina rigg crawling them across the bottom, painfully slow.
Also, soft plastics on jigheads are catching large over slot trout and the occasional red fish

When the weather is warm, the trout and redfish are on the bars.Just outside of the mouth of the river, or in the mouths of deep creeks. My preferred method is shrimp on a jighead.
We're soft plastics call jighead.
We're also getting bonus sheepshead black drum and flounder.
Offshore, we have one more weekend of red. Snapper, open until june. The bite has been decent.
Live sardines and thread, fin herring work best, but frozen will get the job done.

Merry christmas!

TJ was as knowledgeable as any guide, he was talented at his craft and worked hard. He also was clear in his instructions and put me in the best position for my casting ability. TJ also spent time instructing my fishing partner. He was a great conversationalist and was a pleasure to spend the day with. I will definitely schedule more trips with TJ.
