It's been slow as far as customers, but when we are out there fishing has been great! We are catching reds, black drum and big trout. Popping cork fishing has tested us well on the drift 🎣🎣

the season just opened up down here in South Padre Island, and we had a fantastic day. We did an afternoon hunt. I had three hunters we shot our limit of redheads limit of blue bills and a couple buffalo head. I didn't take a lot of pictures today because we were a little busy, but I did get a bunch of GoPro footage that I'm still trying to download but we seen a ton of docs today. Weather was beautiful. Got out to do some federal water Red snapper fishing dec. 07-24. plenty of good Red Snapper around as well as Cobia. Red snapper is open in Federal water till Dec. 31st 2024.

Fishing has been great! We've been experiencing upper slot and oversized red fish and trout! Throwing popping cork and shrimp/artificial shrimp has proved to be the key. Fishing conditions have been nice with 65-80 degrees. And okay winds 👍🏽 We are drift fishing for the reds and trout and channel fishing anchored down for the black drum

Reds and black drum have been biting and coming ok good slot sizes! Using dead shrimp onto the bottom for drum and live shrimp and popping cork for the red fish. 🎣🎣💪🏽💪🏽

My neighbor Mike and I got them pretty good today. Really nice grade of red snapper and a bonus grouper that was just a little short had to release him weather was fantastic. It's nice when we get some calm seas and we can sneak out and catch some awesome snapper seen a few cobia today. Couldn't get them to go, but they're always fun to see swimming around the boat.

The bay fishing has been decent throughout the past couple of weeks and the weather has been great. Catching limits of speckled trout on soft plastic artificial baits. The color changes around South Padre are holding speckled trout and redfish. Try finding some baitfish in an area and the gamefish will be nearby. Redfishing has been better on those high wind days. Have spotted several schools of redfish on certain days. I would expect the bite to remain decent as long as the warmer weather conditions remain good.

I put the boat back in the water this morning and took my wife Jill and her good friend April out fishing didn't have to go very far. We were fishing live shrimp under a popping cork with an 1/8 ounce jig. We fished for a couple hours. The wind started blowing pretty hard but we caught three really nice red fish, a bunch of nice keeper trout and a big girl. She was 26 or 27 inches. we took a couple pictures of her and released her right back in to the lower Laguna Madre so somebody else can...
