Fishing has been fabulous!!! A lot of fish to the net recently. After the ice storm of the year the river is clear and cold. Just the way the fish love it.
The weather has been great lately. Warm in the afternoons. The insect activity has been great when the sun comes out. Lots of blue-winged olives coming off a few caddis and of course midges. Come fish with us! We know how to get it done!!!

Fishing has been very good. Small size 16 and 18 hooks for this time of year. Midges soft hackles and caddis have all worked well.

Doubles are always my favorite thing to see! These two boys had a blast. I was afraid one them was going to jump out of the net before the got the other one. It makes for a fun day for sure.
Fishing has been excellent! Winter time the river is not nearly as crowded. It's a great time to be on the river. Morning has been cold this week so dress accordingly.
It's midge season so think small. It's still a little early for the streamer fishing but I will not be long before the big ones come up river...

With the warmer weather this Christmas the river has been a little crowded. Fish are biting good on midges this time of year. Winter streamer season is almost upon us. The bigger fish normally eat them but don't be surprised if a smaller fish takes a bite or to. Trout are opportunistic so a big meal will mostly be eaten.

I do love winter time fishing, all of the big ones bite this time of year. The river is normally less crowded and more peaceful for everyone. It helps when you manage to land one of these big girls!!!

Small mouth and trout sure was a good morning. Weekends are heavy but during the week there is fish everywhere.

Fishing has been fabulous this week. Caddis, midges, March Browns, blue wing olives when it's cloudy, egg patterns, and worm patterns. All have been productive this week.

Size 22 brown or black midges and size 8-12 rubber leg jiggy buggers have been the hot flies the last 2 weeks.
