Managed to venture out a couple times within the past two weeks. This past Tuesday, the bite was hot... caught fish on everything we threw.... popping corks and Carolina rigs tipped with live shrimp, plus artificial lures. They’re still biting good... little warm front has then fired up!

30a offshore.
We have wrapped up the October fall snapper dates. We continue to find quality fish despite the high winds and big seas. Everything from big red snapper, scamp grouper, big trash can lid triggerfish, bull vermillion, even rainbow runners.
The cold front that has came through has sparked off the kings also. Still waiting for the big run of the fall blackfin tuna.
30a inshore.
We are seeing the bull redfish still pretty consistently. Some days are better than others but they're still around. We are catching slots around docks and some of the drop offs. Flats in...

We are seeing the bull redfish still pretty consistently. Some days are better than others but they're still around. We are catching slots around docks and some of the drop offs. Flats in the morning for them and later in the evening. Still catching a few trout also. Hopefully in the next few weeks the sheepshead bite will pick up for us here in the Choctawhatchee.
The fishing has been a little slow for us but today it turned on hard. We had trout, gaff top, lady fish, bull reds and more keeping us on our toes. Used live bait and artificial. Today's bite was just awesome, here are a few pics.

Fishing has been great lately in the Chocktawahachee Bay. The weather has been great. Spanish mackerel, lady fish and sharks have been very consistent!

Fishing here in Santa Rosa beach is on fire right now. Offshore we are catching vermillion snapper, triggerfish, mangrove snapper, few kings and Spanish and some Mahi and black fin tuna around our fads offshore.
Inshore is heating up with most catches being redfish and jack Crevalle, but we are still finding speckled trout, Spanish mackerel and mangrove snapper.

The redfish bite is really good right now. The rain has cooled the water temps down into the mid to low 80s. Seems like a falling tide with live bait is working best.

Snapper season is starting to wind down but there are still some fish out there if you are willing to move around a bit. Inshore the Jack crevalles are name of the game this time of year. They will pop up around the bay and you better be ready with a swim bait or topwater plug to get after them. The heat has the redfish and trout bite slowed tremendously but some good fish can still be caught early morning or late evening.

What a great day on the water with Captain Trey …. he really put us on the fish … we caught Reds / Trout / and a 43 lb Black Drum … Captain Trey was awesome and worked hard for is all day
Captain Trey was a great and entertaining guide for our West Bay half day trip. Caught plenty of speckled sea trout and reds. We did some interesting fishing up the West Bay Creek that connects to the Chactawhatchee Bay that was similar to Bass fishing and very productive. We caught our limit of big reds. Thanks, Captain Trey! Hope to see you again soon
***** Captain Trey was very kind and knowledgeable - he went above and beyond to make sure our boys were able to catch some fish and have a good time - he had all of the equipment and we had a wonderful day on the water.
Captain Trey was awesome. The wind was high, water was rough and bite was slow but Trey worked very hard to find fish. We only caught 1 redfish but it was not from a lack of trying. He talked and cut jokes with the kids and made the day fun. He kept “Bocephus” rocking the radio too. I will definitely book with Trey next time we’re in town.
