Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. Holiday season is full swing, the south Florida weather has felt like summer the past week. The water ways have been busy, be careful and vigilant of other boaters that are careless.
The snook fishing has been great around docks and seawalls due to the warm water temperatures sitting at 82°. Live bait, DOA C.A.L. 3" shad tails have the been the baits to get the strike. Moving water and clean water, key to success. There still dumping freshwater out in the ICW so fishing near inlets best bet.
Tarpon fishing is still excellent...

Tarpon fishing is still excellent
in the Jupiter, Palm Beach areas. We are catching tarpon near mangrove shorelines, channel edges and near docks. Bigger tarpon are schooling on drop offs taking live baits and DOA Terror Eyz. Low light hours tarpon fishing around docks offer great action with the fly rod and live baits.
When not targeting snook and tarpon, jacks, drum mackerel and many other species are being caught jigging DOA C.A.L. curl tail and using live shrimp. Big schools of jacks and blues offer great action with top water as well.
Well that is the fishing report for the past week, hope you all enjoyed. Remember you can’t catch them from the couch, so get out there and get hooked up. Tight Lines!

Late bloomer! Hurricane Nicole sure snuck into the east coast of Florida packing a punch. Full moon super high tides made for a high water event for south Florida.
The fishing the days after Nicole produced great action as the inter coastal waters were teeming with a plethora of species. The mackerel, jacks, bluefish, snapper, tarpon just to name a few, produced drag screaming action for anglers.
Consistent schools of jacks, mackerel, bluefish and sharks made for smiling anglers as every cast produced a tug on the other end of the line. DOA C.A.L. curl tail and DOA terror eyz...

mimic bait fish the predator fish feed on.
Channels and drop offs great areas to find roaming tarpon, looking for their next meal. Live bait and DOA C.A.L. shad tail were the bait of choice. The bite picked up on the outgoing tide due to the higher water levels. More water draw means more flushing of bait into open waters.
Snook fishing was good around docks as the tide dropped. Above normal hightides made snook hard to find along docks and mangrove shorelines. Lower tide levels the live baits and DOA C.A.L. 4” jerk baits produced strikes from snook.
Well that is the fishing report for the past week, hope you all enjoyed. Remember you can’t catch them from the couch, so get out there and get hooked up. Tight lines!

Live bait is easy to catch now that summer vacation is over. Mahi, kingfish, snapper, sailfish, and wahoo are passing through. Mullet run right around the corner.

Looks like the unseasonal wind is finally subsiding. Mutton snapper has been the highlight bottom fishing. King fish bonitos and mahi are around. I've been finding some Goliath grouper and large snook for the Instagram bros. Mullet run is right around the corner. Then the tarpon, snook, Jack, and blacktip sharks will be abundant. When this happens we always seem to find mahi offshore.

Hog fishing is hot!!!
If you have the patience to hunt these guys down, I will offer up the same great strategy that seems to work for me: To start off, I utilize medium lite to medium size fishing rods- and our “weapons of choice” are the green stick made by Kris green these custom fishing can be purchased at ST. Pete Fishing Outfitters. I prefer a 10-15lb rod rating, but you can go with what you will have the most confidence in. As usual, the line of choice 15lb Braid attached to a 20lb fluorocarbon leader. Pete Fishing Outfitters. I prefer a 10-15lb rod rating, but you can go with what you will have the most confidence in. As usual, the line of choice 15lb Braid attached to a 20lb fluorocarbon leader. What I feel
is the most critical component of my setup is the use a 1/4oz Mission Fishin jig-head. Now that we talked about the setup, let’s get to how to find them. I’m going to suggest you search around ledges- there’s no need to look for the wrecks. When fishing these areas and using this type of rig, you will also hook up with a fair amount of Mangrove Snapper and Key West Grunts. The water depth I am looking to fish in is 25-60ft. Save yourself some of your hard earned money. There is no need to buy the biggest shrimp at the bait shop to catch these guys. Regular or Hand Picked shrimp work just fine for this application, but make sure you bring plenty of them. As a rule of thumb, I typically make sure to bring 15 dozen shrimp for my clients when I’m running a 4 hour charter. 4thST bait and tackle and Mitch’s bait and tackle always has great looking shrimp! So when you’re out there hoggin’ try to bring a 4/0 reel lined with 80lb matched with a stout rod. You’re going to want to drop a 3-5oz sinker to bottom (depending on current) with a dead bait to the bottom. My personal favorite here is to have a butterflied Key West grunt attached to the business end. Make sure you lock the drag down and then simply set it in a rod holder. You just may happen to pull up a nice Gag Grouper ( If you put these tips to use and you’ll set yourself up for some great cold weather fishing & some of the best tasting fish you can get!! Trip: Sport Fishing Trip - 31' Jupiter

  • ★★★★★
Captain Tyler took our family out for an afternoon excursion. The sport fishing was a bit soft, but Tyler put us on a couple of small game fish while we were hunting for monsters. The group agreed to move to the more shallow reefs, where we put upward of 30 fish in the boat over 90 minutes, including several keepers with meat on the bones. Tyler cleaned the fish for us and recommended a restaurant nearby that would cook our catch, which meant an easy and clean dinner for Mom! We had a great time with Tyler.
