The high water we experienced in late spring early summer has set us up for an incredible summer. While the striper and white bass fishing has slowed down we have seen an increase in activity from other species.
Largemouth are good on poppers in the morning and late evening, while
slow sinking streamers around brush and cut banks have filled the slower parts of the day.
Spotted bass have moved into the riffles in numbers and can be caught in all water columns. A popper dropper rig with any small streamer has brought a ton of doubles to hand.
Carp are in vegetation at sunrise and sunset, and can be found in slower water behind tail outs and riffles throughout the day. Crawfish, damsels, and jelly’s have put fish in the net.
Gar, drum, and sunfish have filled in slower parts of the day.

Tons of bait moving around the bay system. This weekend between the bad weather should be great fishing with the waters cooling down a little.

Well this weather has been crazy but can still put my clients on fish. Between high winds and super low tides we have found success.

Fishing has been great on the bite during mid and ending of tides. Keepers other than black drum have been a hit or miss. The schooling size reds are plentiful. Small trout running the shallows, larger trout are staying deep still along the channel. Fish have been hitting live and...

    Trip: Weekends Chasing Stripers

  • ★★★★★
Captain Blake made a valiant effort trying to get us on fish that were just not cooperating. He was on time, great at giving directions, extremely attentive the entire time and most of all he was friendly and treated us with the utmost respect. This was a last minute booking because our original guide canceled. Captain Experiences did a fantastic job accommodating our needs and constantly communicated with us the entire time. I would definitely book again with C-E and Captain Blake. I highly recommend both!
