The fishing in Cape Cod Bay has been crazy good. We are finding stripe bass from 23 inches up to 41 inches. In Mass we have a slot rule so in order to take home a bass, it has to be between 28 inches and under 31 inches.
We have been jigging or as I like to say, Cape Cod Cardio, on the shoals. This has been producing the best results. The jigging can be challenging however when the line go tight, all is forgotten. Just last week we were able to knock off a bucket list request and he hit for his first stripe bass which was 33 inches. A nice photo shoot and back it went In to the water.
The bluefish have also just arrived and that is starting to pick up too.

Great bass fishing continues with a big push of false albacore and bonito in local waters in the last week. We have started to have shorter fishable windows due to fall weather, but with plenty of bait and warm water temps, we have a lot of fishing left to do.

Couple shots. Tuna fishing continues to impress with all sizes available. Jig and bait bite with some topwater mixed in if you're lucky. Bass are around and we're a bit finicky this week with mild tides, bright sun, and warm water. False Albacore and Bonito are now being found in our local waters and fished with small epoxy jigs under birds. Truly the best time of year to be on the water when the weather cooperates.

August fishing report for Nantucket Island. For the light tackle anglers, the Atlantic Bonito showed up earlier in the month. Big Bluefish have been a constant with warmer water temps and more bait (sand eels). Stripers are being caught in the colder water areas off the East end of Nantucket....

August fishing report for Nantucket Island. For the light tackle anglers, the Atlantic Bonito showed up earlier in the month. Offshore boats are having a banner season catching Giant Tuna.

Sure. Fishing has been really decent both inshore and offshore. Bluefin both giant and rec size to be had on bait/troll/spin locally. Bass transitioning from squid to sandeels and still productive on most tides under bird piles.
