Fishing reports straight from our guides in Padre Island National Seashore
With the tide being so low the fish have been staging along deeper drop off and trash lines. Look for bigger schools of mullet in these areas and/or slicks popping up. The trout have been great on croaker, the reds are feeding on piggies and cut mullet, the flounder and drum have both been coming on live shrimp.

Fishing has been real good on croker for trout and live shrimp under popping cork. Trout bite hit hard early morning on croker, and live shrimp later morning. Top water lures early morning have been good as well for trout.
Reds have been getting more plentiful. Cutt bait using skipjack or mullet, after 10:30am as been working well.
I have had a lot of luck on popping cork early with live shrimp.

Fishing has been a little Slow with tide drop

Trout fishing has continued to be outstanding, free-lining live croaker in 3-4ft of water. Redfish and black drum are schooled up on the surface and can be very easily sight-casted with a live shrimp!

The fishing could not be any better here on our beautiful Laguna Madre! We are catching good numbers of redfish in the slot range and oversized in the flats on lures and bait. Come fishing with Captain Mick and let him guide you on a trip of a lifetime!

Fishing has been great. Baffin producing reds and trout on croaker. Trout thick on grass lines south of Bird Island on DOA cals. Drum good around Packery on fresh dead shrimp. Lots of Flounder moving on edges of steep drop offs close to flats.

Trout bite remains solid early in the morning. They have been holding right off grass beds and rock ledges. Croaker has still been great for trout.
Reds have been up in the flats and tight on spoil islands.
Flounder have been good on areas with big sand pockets.

Fishing has been hot and heavy. Trout have been great early on croaker and reds have been good on cut bait and live croaker. Drum have been in schools and hitting live and dead shrimp on either a cork or rigged with a jig head.
