January 2026- Lake Travis - fish are out deep on ledges and channel swings in 30 to 40 ft, fish very slowly with soft plastics like a drop shot or wacky worm, jigs with craw trailers also working well with a slow presentation, when the bass are feeding and a little bit more active we are catching them on umbrella rigs, small finesse swim baits, and crank baits with a very tight wobble like a rapala shad rap.

catching some good bass right now by fishing steep, rocky shorelines with a jig and a drop shot rig. Most fish coming anywhere from 10-20 ft deep.

Lake Bastrop-12/4- water temp 67, lots of bass shallow right now, can catch these fish with spinnerbaits and flukes, worms also working well on outside edge of the grass, you can rig these on a drop shot or neko rig to stay weedless

Kicking out big numbers of bass averaging 50-80 bass per trip. Finding big ones has been a little more difficult, but we are getting a ton of bites! We are focusing on deeper grass edges in 15-20 ft of water drop shotting Bass Pro Shops Tri-Color Worms and Texas rigging...

Kicking out big numbers of bass averaging 50-80 bass per trip. Finding big ones has been a little more difficult, but we are getting a ton of bites! We are focusing on deeper grass edges in 15-20 ft of water drop shotting Bass Pro Shops Tri-Color Worms and Texas rigging 5" stick worms.

We are doing well targeting huge schools of bass in and around the numerous marinas on the lake. Best baits are small weightless soft plastic jerkbaits and drop shot rigged finesse worms.

Stillhouse Hollow continues to kick out good numbers and some giant bass! If it’s numbers you’re after, chasing the nomadic schools of bass offshore are the way to go. Use forward facing sonar to locate these schools and then cast small weightless soft plastic jerkbaits at them fished quickly across the surface. For big bass, fish the shallows with topwater lures like the River2Sea Rover!
