Finding areas holding good concentrations of gizzard shad has been the key to locating active bass, and once the right group of fish is found, anglers have opportunities to catch multiple quality fish from a relatively small area.

Inks Lake is currently about 0.75 feet below full pool, with water temperatures around 83° and visibility ranging from roughly 2–5 feet. Bass are being caught around shallow cover on urchin-style baits and drop-shot rigged finesse worms, providing consistent opportunities throughout the day.

Hey Scott, fishing on the Guadalupe has been good with a mixed bag. The recent rains have increased the flows and we're getting bass and rainbow trout with other species too. The trout have been good on nymphs and the bass have been hitting topwater flies. With a cooler than normal forecast, good conditions are expected into Fall!
