Fishing reports straight from our guides in Silver Point
The bite in August is really sporadic. My best trip recently was trolling crankbaits mid day and we put 43 fish in the boat in 4 hours from 11:30-3:30. The best bite on live bait has been in the evening right before dark with some large schools of big fish showing up and having more than one fish on at a time hasn't been uncommon.

Fishing has been excellent on live bait the last couple weeks there's been a great, morning, midday and evening bite.

Live shad have been really effective on early morning trips with some really big fish being caught. Trolling crankbaits has been working all day long and the white bass have been on fire and there's been a great topwater bite early morning for them.
