If you need a report, there are some dolphins and sailfish around the birds. Did well this weekend, hopefully the wind doesn't stick around too long.

The water offshore has been cold. A few dolphins and kings are around. Sailfish are on the edge. They have been in large schools; keep a bait in the water after you hook up and go for two. Fishing is good when the conditions allow for it. April is typically a good month; we have a few openings.

It's been slow with the colder weather in past weeks, but this week/weekend they are gonna FIRE! Mid to high 70's all week into the weekend, perfect weather to make them eat and push them up to spawn.

Mid December, whoever thought we would get a tropical depression in south Florida this time of year. Lots of rain and wind have been the main story the past week. There are many places we can hide and fish, but 45 to 50 winds are not fun.
A few days that we were able to get out dodging rained and wind, the snook were plentiful in the backcountry, targeting mangrove, shorelines and deep channels, using Live bait and Rapala, shadow wrap, and X wrap twitch baits. A mixed bag of species of snook common, fat and sword spine, great catches...

A mixed bag of species of snook common, fat and sword spine, great catches
for anglers due to the weather.
The jacks and bluefish are still plentiful in the channels and deep holes using DOA 3” shad tail and top water Rapala skitter walks for best results. With the cool fronts, pushing into the South Florida area, we will be receiving migration fish, like mackerel and Pompano to add to the fun.
Well, that is the fishing report for the past week, hope you all enjoyed. Remember, you can’t catch them from the couch, so get out there and get hooked up. Tight lines!

Trip: Sport Fishing Trip - 31' Jupiter

  • ★★★★★
Captain Tyler took our family out for an afternoon excursion. The sport fishing was a bit soft, but Tyler put us on a couple of small game fish while we were hunting for monsters. The group agreed to move to the more shallow reefs, where we put upward of 30 fish in the boat over 90 minutes, including several keepers with meat on the bones. Tyler cleaned the fish for us and recommended a restaurant nearby that would cook our catch, which meant an easy and clean dinner for Mom! We had a great time with Tyler.
