Ladies have been giving the new Bubba rods a workout! Trout are good on croakers, bull reds have been solid with a good incoming tide, and slot reds are finally showing up. Flounder gigging is also heating up!

Summer's here. Big trout, oversized reds, slot reds, and drum. Sharks are in from the gulf. Saw a Tarpon today. It's on.

Fishing has been hit and miss with all the different wind directions, super high then super low tides and the swing in temps and cold fronts that seem to be hanging around. Once we have normal temps,wind directions and keep normal tides the fishing should really turn on here in Port o Connor.

Redfishing has been good in the back lakes on cut mullet and sardines. Sheepshead good at Jetties on shrimp. Weather has been up and down but fishing has still been good.

Captain Benny was absolutely a pleasure to fish with. He immediately felt like a long time friend when setting up plans and even made rescheduling due to storm weather super easy. When we were out on the boat, he was instructive and safe. Our teenage boys enjoyed the time so much they are begging to go back out with Benny. We will definitely book with him again and recommend going out with him to anyone who wants a knowledgeable guide.

Captain Terry is a very good Boat captain. He kept all of our bait on our hooks. He took care of all of the fish. It was just a great experience. We probably caught 150 fish in six hours and by the end of the tour, I thought my arms were gonna fall off. We will definitely use him again in the future.

We had an absolutely outstanding trip this past Saturday fishing in Matagorda. I took my four sons, and our captain could not have done a better job. From start to finish, he was professional, patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in making sure the boys had a great experience. He knew where to go, worked hard to put us on fish, and made the whole day easy and enjoyable. What stood out most to me was how well he treated my sons. He was patient with them, coached them, encouraged them, and made sure each of them felt included. That means a lot to a dad. The boat was clean, the gear was ready, and everything was handled with confidence and care. It was clear we were with someone who knows Matagorda waters and takes pride in giving people a great day on the water. I cannot recommend him highly enough. If you are looking for a great captain, especially for a family trip, this is the guy. We made some great memories, and my boys are still talking about it. We will definitely be back.
