If you really want to see what the waters off of Fort Lauderdale have to offer, this trip is your ticket. On this trip, you'll go after a bunch of species across several different habitats. You'll kick things off by trolling the middle depths with planers, looking for aggressive predators such as Blackfin Tuna, Mackerel, Mahi, and Wahoo. Once you get further offshore, you'll drop your tackle down over the reefs, aiming to hook some...

About Your Trip

If you really want to see what the waters off of Fort Lauderdale have to offer, this trip is your ticket. On this trip, you'll go after a bunch of species across several different habitats. You'll kick things off by trolling the middle depths with planers, looking for aggressive predators such as Blackfin Tuna, Mackerel, Mahi, and Wahoo. Once you get further offshore, you'll drop your tackle down over the reefs, aiming to hook some massive reef fish like Mutton Snapper, Yellowtail Snapper, Black Grouper, and Gag Grouper. Last, but certainly not least, you'll drop even deeper, looking for bottomfish. Every one of these zones features hard-fighting and delicious eating fish, so there's no better combination to fill your cooler with table fare and your camera with memorable pictures. At the end of the trip, Captain Michael also offers to clean, fillet, and cook up your catch, so you can end your trip with a delicious meal of fresh-caught Snapper, Mahi, or Grouper.

You'll be doing it all from the deck of Captain Michael's 31' Jupiter center console—a perfect vessel for these waters. She sports twin 300-HP Yamaha engines to get you out there in a hurry, plus all the best Garmin electronics, including an autopilot system, GPS, fishfinder, and more. Captain Michael will provide everything you need for a great day, including rods, reels, bait, and tackle. All you need to remember is proper clothing, sunscreen, a pair of polarized sunglasses to help see the fish, and a cooler with your snacks and drinks.

Went out full day hunting iguana and fishing for peacock bass with 3 buddies and captain Mike was awesome he got us onto the fish on the fist cast caught a bunch of different species as well as the targeted fish. My trip with Captain Mike and Elena was all I had hoped for. Their communication leading up to the hunt was excellent and so very prompt ! I almost cancelled. My Best friend's flight from Ohio was cancelled the night before the hunt and I didn't want to go alone. Elena said we would have great fun anyway..so I went and so very glad I did. A big surprise was Mike had a dog that would retrieve the iguana after the shot which made it exciting to see the dog work. We would definitely book with Michael again. They are the perfect hosts and know the perfect honey holes. 22 iguanas and our party of four each caught a 22 inch peacock bass.

Eight hours was not enough time for this adventure.

As you are fishing/hunting they are also teaching you about the species and the great outdoors. Very educational!

Mike was very knowledgeable and entertaining; his dog was a great addition to the entire experience has he would retrieve the iguanas on shore once we shot them. Mike was an awesome guide, and this experience was well worth it! We would go back to visit captain Mike for another Florida adventure in a heart beat!
