About Your Guide

Captain AJ grew up bass fishing in the neighborhood ponds and saltwater fishing on his uncle’s boat. After a career in restaurant management in downtown St. Augustine, Captain AJ finally came to the realization that he belonged on the water. He started out by buying a simple kayak that he remodeled into an impressive fishing rig. It wasn’t long until he mastered fishing tactics and became a successful kayak angler. After numerous rewarding fishing trips with his buddies, he started leading solo guide trips. Eventually, he received his captain’s license and began pursuing his life-long passion as a full-time fishing guide. Captain AJ is adventurous, knowledgeable and is always looking forward to welcoming you onboard!
