An umbrella rig, also known as a multi-rig, is a type of fishing rig that allows anglers to attach multiple baits or lures to a single line. This setup is designed to mimic a school of baitfish, which can be very attractive to predator fish. The term "umbrella" comes from the appearance of the rig, which resembles an umbrella with its multiple arms (or "blades") spread out from a central point.
