What Is Trolling?

Trolling is when multiple baited lines are set out at different distances behind the boat to create a spread. The spread is slowly pulled behind the boat to cover as much water as possible. The lines are baited with lures, jigs, small baitfish, or squid depending on the type of fishing you are doing. Trolling is most popular for nearshore and deep sea fishing but is also a common practice in the great lakes.
