Wade fishing is fishing while in the water stalking fish on foot usually with the help of waders. Wading is slow, but it allows anglers to thoroughly cover an area and sneak up on fish that would otherwise be long gone due to boat noise. Almost all inshore species can be caught while wading and working the shallows with spinning or fly fishing gear.
