Hello all! My name is Micah and I have been fishing all my life. In the last 15-20 years, I have been focusing more on fly fishing and even branching out into tying my own flies as well. I started guiding by taking out family and friends and started to realize I enjoy teaching and watching others be successful more than catching fish myself. My new goal in my fly fishing passion is to share that passion and knowledge to everyone who wants to learn and grow in their own journey.

I started out with one goal, to catch a trout with mountains in the background. I have succeeded in that goal hundreds of times over and have since branched out to warm water species like smallmouth bass and even had several salt water adventures all over the carribean.

How did you get started guiding?

I started by taking out friends and family members and teaching them which made me realize I love seeing others succeed more than I like catching my own fish.

What makes you different from other guides?

I cater to the inexperienced fly anglers. Too many guides expect perfection from their clients. I've been fly fishing long enough to know that everyone deserves patience and humility.

About Your Trip

Your Smallmouth Bass fly fishing adventure awaits! Book now for your Smallmouth fishing excursion with flies or light tackle on local rivers in Central Minnesota! Let our seasoned guides get you set up, on the fish, and put you in the perfect position to catch smallmouth bass on the fly!

Trips are either booked as a 4 hour or 8 hour trip, but often go a little longer if the guest likes.

4 hour trips included bottled water; 8 hour trips include bottled water, sandwich and chips. Feel free to bring your own snacks/beverages.

All equipment is provided, but feel free to bring your own as well! Sun block and bug spray are also provided. Be sure to dress for the weather and bring your polarized sun glasses and a current Minnesota fishing license.

Although we specialize in fly fishing, we also can have spinning gear available for the non-fly fishers as well.

Trips accommodate up to 2 anglers, but additional boats can be reserved for larger groups.

All experience levels are welcome!
