Response from Captain Experiences:
Hey Leslie this is Trey with Captain Experiences. Thank you for sharing your feedback.
Our crane hunts are run as shared trips, which is standard when hunting cranes, and this is explained on the trip listing in the description. For the ride out to the field, Elliott offered seats in the cab for a more comfortable trip. He had three trucks available with plenty of room, but he was told that you and your father
preferred sitting in the bed.
Regarding the blinds, our team hunted this same setup with Elliott last season, and our members at 6'2" were comfortable. The blinds aren’t limited to hunters under 5'9". Elliott placed you in the blind next to him and would have been happy to make adjustments or answer any questions about comfort.
Our guides make shooting calls based on safety and bird behavior, and we’re sorry you left feeling you didn’t get a fair chance. Cranes are different from hunting waterfowl and need to be more or less right on top of you to give you a chance at taking them down. As for photos, our guides always take them when requested!
