Captain
Josh specializes in action-packed inshore and nearshore fishing adventures, targeting a wide variety of species throughout the year. Depending on the season and trip length, you might hook into Redfish, Snook, Speckled Trout, Mangrove Snapper, Spanish Mackerel, and Flounder—or chase bigger nearshore species like Gag and Goliath Grouper, Kingfish, Permit, Cobia, and even Blacktip Shark.
Your trip will take place aboard a 24’ Ranger bay boat, purpose-built for inshore action and capable of comfortably accommodating up to six guests. This vessel comes fully loaded with top-tier fishing electronics, a fighting chair, live bait well, wireless trolling motor, and all the creature comforts for a great day on the water. Seating is thoughtfully arranged so everyone has a front-row seat to the action.
All trips—whether 4, 6, or 8 hours—are fully outfitted with quality rods, reels, lures, tackle, and live bait. Half Day trips will stay inshore while longer trips are able to expand their range to nearshore waters and the species that live there. Captain Josh even takes care of the fishing license, so all you need to do is show up and get ready to fish. At the end of your trip, he’ll clean and fillet any legal keepers for you to take home.
Families are more than welcome aboard, and Captain Josh is especially great with kids. If you don’t have a child-sized life vest, just be sure to ask ahead of time. Feel free to pack snacks and extra drinks to keep everyone fueled up—though ice and bottled water are already included. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just no glass or hard liquor.
Departure locations are flexible and include Holmes Beach, Sarasota, Tierra Verde, Palmetto, Bradenton, and Bradenton Beach, depending on what works best for you and where the fishing is hottest. Each trip is tailored to give you the best possible experience based on tide, weather, and season.
