I was born and raised in Apalachicola, Florida, and I’m proud to be a fourth-generation local. My family’s roots run deep in this area, and much of my life has been shaped by the waters and wild places that make Apalachicola so special.
My grandfather served as the caretaker for St. Vincent Island when it was privately owned by Mr. Lee Loomis, and through him I developed an early connection to the land and the surrounding waters. I spent many of my early years living on Bull Island, which was also owned by Mr. Loomis at the time. Growing up in such a unique environment gave me a firsthand appreciation for the natural beauty, wildlife, and quiet rhythm of life along the Gulf Coast.
Today, I hold a 100 Ton USCG Master Captain’s License and enjoy sharing the place I’ve called home my entire life. With a lifetime of local knowledge and experience on the water, I take pride in showing others what makes Apalachicola Bay and its surrounding estuaries so remarkable.
