About Your Trip
Join Captain Buddie for a Lake Erie Walleye trip out of Cleveland! Known for its outstanding Walleye fishery, Lake Erie gives anglers the chance to target these fish from nearshore waters to as far as 15 miles offshore depending on the conditions and where the fish are holding.
Trolling will be a primary technique throughout much of the season, but Captain Buddie can also break out spinning and jigging gear when the bite calls for
it. Whether you're an experienced Lake Erie angler or making your first trip, Buddie will adjust the approach based on the conditions and what's working that day.
You'll fish aboard Captain Buddie's 25' Sport-Craft cuddy cabin, powered by a 305 HP Volvo and accommodating up to 6 guests. The boat is equipped with GPS, fishfinder, radar, and a basic toilet setup for longer days on the lake.
Rods, reels, tackle, and lures are provided, and if live bait is needed for the day's fishing, that's included as well. A First Mate will also be aboard to help keep lines rigged and assist your group throughout the trip. Just make sure everyone in your group purchases a valid local fishing license before arriving.
Choose between a 6-hour morning or afternoon trip, or make the most of your time on Lake Erie with a 10-hour full-day trip. Captain Buddie will take care of the fishing gear, so bring along sunglasses, non-spray sunscreen, drinks, and anything you'd like to eat and get ready to chase Lake Erie Walleye!
