This outfit is owned and operated by Mike, who has won the titles of both the 1988 and 1991 Texas State Duck Calling Championship and the 1989 Ark/La/Tex Regional Duck Calling Championship. Since 1979, Mike has been a professional waterfowl guide and is now recognized as one of the premier guides in Saskatchewan.

Mike established his outfit in Texas in 1988 and began guiding in Saskatchewan in 2007. We offer experienced professional guides, well-trained dogs, white parkas, sillosocks for goose and sandhill cranes, and large sets of duck decoys. Our commitment to using only the best waterfowl hunting equipment ensures an exceptional experience. We have access to thousands of acres of prime waterfowl habitat, including fields of wheat, barley, oats, peas, and corn.

About Your Trip

We have fantastic hunting guides and scouts here at our lodge and will be able to show your group a good hunt. Decades of experience shine in the fields.

You will arrive to the lodge the evening before your first hunt. The next morning you will have a continental breakfast before either following or meeting with our guides for a morning goose hunt

CANADA GOOSE HUNTS:

Migrant Canada geese as well as locals are found here in abundant numbers. Most of our feeds are in the thousands, and we hunt Canada geese in Canada different ways, depending on the situation. We do target Canadas often for those who’re interested, and our success rate is quite high. Our Saskatchewan goose hunts can be incredible for seeing working birds.

SNOW GOOSE HUNTS:

We are located in a major flyway and staging area for traveling snow geese. We typically have them around in good numbers in the middle to later part of the season. Due to our 5 zones and LARGE areas to cover, those interested in hunting snow geese in Canada can expect to travel a bit more depending on the time of the year. Some years we’re covered up and other years they can hang north. It all depends on the migration.

Afterwards our team will either send your birds to be cleaned and processed so that you can take them home with you or we can donate them to the local community. You will return to the lodge for a light lunch and maybe a nap before going out to Duck Hunt that afternoon

We offer both the chance at field hunting for ducks or hunting potholes. Either way, we're going to work hard to put you on large numbers on our memorable duck hunts.

If you haven’t field hunted for mallards, you’re missing out in one of the great wonders of waterfowl hunting! Not only will you see large numbers of mallards, but various others species such as pintail, gadwall, widgeon, etc. Expect to see large amounts of ducks most years, especially on wetter years with a lot of moisture in the area.

About half of our harvest in recent years was ducks. Our Canada duck hunts are truly an experience.

You will return home to the lodge for supper after the afternoon hunt.
