About Your Trip
Get ready to experience world-class fishing in the calm, scenic waters of Washington’s Puget Sound with Captain Chris and his team of experienced, Coast Guard-licensed guides. Whether you're chasing hard-fighting Chinook Salmon, jigging for Lingcod, or bottom fishing for Flounder and Rockfish, these waters offer year-round action and some of the best inshore and nearshore fishing in the Pacific Northwest.
Captain Chris and his crew have spent years dialing in the fishery and know how
to put guests on the bite during every season. From winter Blackmouth (resident King Salmon) and early-season Coho to summer runs of Pink Salmon, bottom fishing in spring, and fall Chinook, there’s always something worth hooking into. And when the salmon are thick, there’s no better place to be.
You’ll be fishing aboard a 30’ custom-built trolling vessel designed for performance, comfort, and results. Outfitted with ultra-high-definition sonar, radar, GPS, and top-of-the-line electric downriggers, this boat is a serious fishing machine. It also features a spacious, enclosed cabin, an open fishing deck, and even a full, private bathroom—no port-a-potties here. This is first-class fishing, and your comfort is a priority.
All gear is included on your trip, including premium Shimano trolling reels, custom rods, and all the tackle and lures you'll need. The crew provides expert instruction and hands-on support, whether you're a first-timer or a seasoned angler. At the end of the trip, they’ll clean and fillet your catch so it’s ready for the table.
In addition to fishing, there’s a good chance you’ll spot local wildlife along the way—think bald eagles, sea lions, harbor seals, and even the occasional pod of whales. Whether you’re visiting from out of town, entertaining business clients, or just spending a day on the water with family or friends, this trip delivers the perfect mix of action, scenery, and laid-back fun.
Here’s what the fishing season typically looks like:
Fishing Seasons
January – April: Winter Blackmouth (Resident King Salmon)
January – March: Coho Salmon (Winter Silvers)
May – June: Bottom Fishing for Lingcod, Flounder, Rockfish, and Shark
June – February: Mixed Salmon Runs – Chinook, Coho, Pinks (odd years), and Blackmouth
Fishing styles include trolling with downriggers, jigging, bottom fishing, drift fishing, and even flounder gigging when conditions are right. Depending on the season, trips may also include opportunities for offshore and wreck fishing up to an hour off the coast.
With expert captains, top-tier equipment, and year-round access to some of the richest fisheries in the region, a trip with Captain Chris is about more than just catching fish—it’s about creating memories you’ll never forget.
Just show up dressed for the weather with a fishing license and your favorite snacks and drinks. Everything else is covered. From the moment you step on board to the final fillet, your day on Puget Sound is in good hands.
