Aidan is a lifelong angler born and raised in Henderson County, North Carolina, where he grew up exploring mountain streams and rivers alongside his brothers. Long before he ever considered guiding, he was learning the rhythms of these waters and developing a deep respect for wild trout, wild places, and the craft of fly fishing.

Over time, that passion turned into focused dedication. After completing Mac Brown’s Fly Fishing course, Aidan sharpened both his technical skills and his understanding of the sport. Today, he blends that formal training with years of local experience to help anglers truly connect with Western North Carolina’s waters.

Patient, knowledgeable, and rooted in the Blue Ridge, Aidan specializes in wade trips and backcountry adventures that focus on more than just catching fish. From casting and presentation to reading currents and fighting trout with confidence, he is committed to helping every guest learn, improve, and leave the river with a deeper appreciation for the experience.

About Your Trip

This guided fly fishing trip is built around a full or half day on some of Western North Carolina's most scenic rivers and mountain streams. We'll meet in the morning, go over the game plan for the day, and spend 4-8 hours fishing hand selected water based on current conditions, time of year, and your experience level. Expect a mix of hiking, wading, and thoughtful water coverage as we target productive runs, pools, and pocket water in beautiful, less pressured settings.

All trips are fully guided and tailored to you. Whether we're walk and wading a remote mountain stream or floating a large river, I'll handle the logistics so you can focus on fishing and enjoying the experience. Rods, reels, flies, leaders, and tippet are provided if needed, and lunch, snacks, and drinks are included on full day trips. throughout the day, you'll receive hands on instruction covering casting, presentation, reading water, fly selection, and fish behavior.

What sets this trip apart is the attention to detail and the focus on more than just catching fish. This is about slowing down, understanding the water, and connecting with the places we fish. You'll learn the "why'' behind each decision we make on the river, gain confidence in your skills, and walk away with knowledge you can use anywhere you fish in the future.

Trips are highly customizable. Location, techniques, target species, and pace can all be adjusted to fit your goals, Whether you're brand new to fly fishing, looking to improve specific skills, or hoping to chase native brook trout in the backcountry, this trip is designed around you.
