Captain Tom has been fishing the Rockport area since he was 16 years old with his grandpa who taught him most of his tricks and trades, such as drifting across the Estes flats for Redfish and Trout. From then on, Captain Tom has been hooked on saltwater fishing. Fishing is a passion of his and he's always willing to help and teach others so they can enjoy this great sport. You have the choice of fishing with live or dead bait but can always fish with artificial lures if you’re up for the challenge. For these trips, Captain Tom uses his 21’ Shoalwater that’s powered by a 250 Evinrude engine. The boat is equipped with a GPS and fishfinder unit along with all the safety gear you’ll need for a safe and productive trip. Expect a smooth, comfortable, and dry ride to the fishing grounds. I thought the trip was terrible, we did more boat riding than actual fishing, not only that we fished with dead bait for the last 1/2 of the trip. You are not going to catch a good fish with dead bait in most cases, it was a wasted fishing trip, I have been with much better fishing guides many other times. The guide fishing trip was very disappointing plus our fishing guide got sick and had to return to dock earlier than expected …
