About Your Guide

Curtis Wyandt

Independent Guide
Born and raised in Florida, Captain Curtis has been fishing these waters since he could hold a rod. His love for the sport—and for sharing it with others—led him to earn his captain’s license and turn his passion into a career.

Curtis specializes in flats fishing using live and cut bait to keep the action going strong. Whether you're sight-casting for Redfish or hooking into a Snook under the moonlight, he knows how to put you on fish and keep the good times rolling. Night fishing is a personal favorite, and he’s always game to chase a hot bite after dark.

For Captain Curtis, the best part of the job is seeing the excitement on your face when you land a fish you’ve never caught before. If you’re after a laid-back trip with nonstop action and local expertise, Curtis is your guy.

About Your Trip

Get ready to hit the water with Captain Curtis, a local expert who grew up fishing these Florida flats and backwaters. Whether you’re an experienced angler or just getting started, Captain Curtis will be with you every step of the way—offering guidance, good company, and the best shot at landing that fish of a lifetime. With his deep knowledge of the area and dedication to putting guests on the bite, he’ll make sure your trip is as productive as it is fun.

You’ll be fishing aboard a 22’ skiff that comfortably fits up to four anglers. This sleek, shallow-draft boat is perfect for slipping into hard-to-reach honey holes where big fish love to hide—giving you the upper hand when stalking trophy Redfish or a cruising Tarpon. It’s a smooth, stable ride designed for inshore, nearshore, and flats fishing, and it gets you exactly where the action is.

The local waters are loaded with a wide variety of species, and on your trip, you’ll be able to target heavy-hitters like Tarpon, Snook, Spotted Seatrout, and Redfish, as well as Sheepshead, Sharks, and seasonal stars like Tripletail, Jack Crevalle, King Mackerel, and Spanish Mackerel. Tarpon are especially thrilling—a true test of skill and stamina. Hook one, and you’re in for an unforgettable fight. Be sure to snap that photo for the memory book, because all Tarpon must be released, and those over 40 inches must stay in the water during the process.

You’ll be fully equipped with top-of-the-line Penn rods and reels, all tackle and bait (live bait is caught fresh before your trip), and a captain who knows how to put them to use. Cold drinks like soda and water, along with some chips, are already on board, but feel free to bring your own favorite snacks or beverages to stash in the cooler.

At the end of the trip, Captain Curtis will clean and fillet any keepers you decide to bring home—just make sure you’ve got a cooler with ice waiting in the car. All fishing licenses for your group are included, so no extra paperwork is needed—just show up ready for adventure.

Whether you're chasing your first Snook or hunting for that bucket-list Bull Shark, this trip with Captain Curtis is all about good times, tight lines, and memories that last. Book today and let the Florida flats show you what they’re made of!
