Join Captain Byron on beautiful Lake Fork, a 27,000-acre East Texas fishery that's earned a worldwide reputation for producing trophy Largemouth Bass and giant "slab" Crappie thanks to decades of outstanding fisheries management and conservation.
Choose from 4, 6, or 8-hour trips targeting either Largemouth Bass or Crappie depending on the season and your goals. Bass trips
are available year-round, while Crappie trips are offered June through January, when these tasty panfish are at their best.
Captain Byron welcomes anglers of all ages and experience levels aboard his 2019 21' Phoenix bass boat, powered by a 250 HP Mercury outboard. Outfitted with Lowrance GPS, Lowrance, Humminbird, and Garmin electronics, the boat is designed to help you stay on fish and maximize every opportunity throughout the day.
Whether you're simply looking to catch fish or want to become a better angler, Captain Byron is happy to customize your trip. He offers instructional trips covering seasonal patterns, deep-water fishing, sonar interpretation, lure selection, and techniques that will continue paying dividends long after you leave Lake Fork. Unlike many guides, he won't fish during your trip unless you specifically ask him to or he needs to demonstrate a technique, ensuring the focus stays on helping you catch more fish.
Bass trips are conducted on a catch-and-release basis to help preserve Lake Fork's incredible trophy fishery for future generations. On Crappie trips, you'll keep your legal limit, and Captain Byron will clean, fillet, and bag your catch so it's ready to enjoy back home.
All rods, reels, tackle, artificial lures, and live minnows for Crappie trips are provided. Water is included, and if you'd like to grab lunch during a full-day trip, several restaurants are conveniently located around the lake. Simply bring your Texas fishing license, weather-appropriate clothing, sunscreen, sunglasses, and your camera—you may be about to catch the biggest bass of your life.
Trips accommodate up to two anglers, with the option to add a third angler for an additional fee. Whether you're introducing your kids to fishing, spending the day with friends, or chasing a true Lake Fork giant, Captain Byron is committed to making your time on the water both productive and memorable.
