I have spent my lifetime fishing. From "borrowing" row boats in the neighborhood as a child to take local campers fishing, to competitive fishing as an adult, my passion for fishing only grows. Fully licensed and insured, I guide anglers on the Tangier Sound portion of the Chesapeake Bay, and its tributaries, using light tackle and fishing in shallow waters. This makes me a bit unconventional, and I'm ok with that.

Simply put, we just want to take people fishing and share the fun, while showing off these beautiful waterways and all they have to offer.

Whether you're a seasoned angler, or just a beginner, you're welcome aboard.

What’s the biggest fish you’ve caught?

The biggest fish I've caught was a 95lb tarpon.

If you were cooking for all your friends what would you cook?

I would cook a dinner we (my family and I) refer to as the "shit." It's a mixture of shrimp, potatoes, chicken, mushroom, peas, and rice cooked together in one dish on the grill.

For Christmas this year, I would like insulated hunting bibs.

How did you get started guiding?

My guiding started at 13, when I stole a boat and took campers, staying across the lake from my home, fishing. I later found out that the gentleman I "stole" the boat from knew the entire time what I was up to.

What makes you different from other guides?

I'd say that would be my patience and my love of teaching others how to fish. I work extremely hard to make sure clients have the best experience I can give them. I don't know that that is different from any other guide that I know.

About Your Trip

Spend a day on Maryland's Eastern Shore with Captain Kenny, fishing the productive waters of the Tangier Sound and its tributaries, from the Choptank River all the way down to the Pocomoke Sound. With miles of shoreline, creeks, and open water to explore, this area offers a wide range of opportunities throughout the season.

This is a light-tackle trip focused on species like Striped Bass, Redfish, Speckled Trout, and Largemouth Bass. Captain Kenny will adjust the day's game plan based on conditions and recent fishing activity, giving you the best chance to find fish and stay on the bite.

You'll be fishing from a 20' bay boat, a great fit for the variety of water found along the Eastern Shore. Its size allows Captain Kenny to move easily between open-water areas and smaller creeks or shorelines, making it possible to cover a lot of productive water throughout the day. The boat also provides plenty of space for anglers to fish comfortably without feeling crowded.

The trip starts at 7:00 AM and is a great option for anglers of all experience levels. Whether you're an experienced fisherman, bringing the family along, or trying fishing for the first time, Captain Kenny is happy to help and make the trip enjoyable for everyone onboard.

All rods, reels, tackle, and fishing equipment are included. Just bring yourself and a few personal items for the day. We recommend bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, and anything else you'd like to have on the water.
