Captain Will is a Texas native with over 20 years of experience fishing the middle coast. His passion for saltwater species was sparked at a young age and only grew as he began sight-fishing and fly fishing for redfish from a kayak. After purchasing his first skiff—a BT Micro—and completing the USCG Captain’s course, Will launched his guiding career. Today, he guides out of his 2025 Beavertail Mosquito.

The middle coast of Texas offers incredible sight-fishing opportunities for flats species, including redfish, black drum, trout, and more. These coastal waters feature clear-water grass flats, oyster beds, expansive mangroves, mud flats, tidal marsh creeks, and more. Book your trip with Captain Will to experience everything the Texas coast has to offer—and the incredible skiff Beavertail built to handle whatever conditions Texas throws at it.

About Your Trip

Welcome to your day of sight-fishing or fly-fishing. Before the day of your trip, your guide, Captain Will, will provide you time and location of where to meet. Trips are based out of Rockport but depending on time of year boat ramp locations may vary. On the morning of your trip you'll meet Captain Will at the ramp, get loaded up and climb aboard his 18’ beavertail mosquito poling skiff and depart for your half day or full day of fishing. After a short ride to the flats or marsh, Captain Will will give a short lesson and any teaching needed to target these fish up shallow. You'll be hunting the shallow water of the middle coast which you can expect to be about 6-8" of water. Our mission is to stalk these shallow waters and hunt redfish and other species that are also hunting these shallow flats. Captain Will will do everything in his power to set you up for success in order to have an opportunity to hook and land one of the target species. Based on your decision for a half or full day trip, after 4 or 8 hours you'll depart the fishing location and head back to the ramp where Captain Will will drop you off and conclude your trip. After the trip if you decided to keep a few fish, this is where he will get those fish cleaned for you.
