Rapid Fire Guide Q & A

What’s the biggest fish you’ve caught?
51 inch red drum
If you were cooking for all your friends what would you cook?
I don’t like cooking but if I do it’s on the grill! I’d probably slap a steak on for them
What’s your favorite band?
I like country and classic rock. I don’t have a favorite band it just depends on the mood I’m in.
What’s your favorite sports team?
I have some family who attends Notre Dame University, Go Irish!
What’s your drink of choice?
For energy drinks it’s a ghost but at the house some lemonade
What was your last halloween costume?
I can’t even remember
What do you want for Christmas this year?
FISHING GEAR!!
How did you get started guiding?
I have always fished growing up but found myself really enjoying watching my friends who never fish come with me to experience it and seeing how happy it made them.
What makes you different from other guides?
I don’t run cookie cutter charters I fish hard and tailor every trip to the conditions and my clients’ goals. You’re fishing directly with the captain the entire time, getting hands-on instruction and local knowledge from someone who spends a lot of time on these waters. My focus is simple: work hard, stay flexible, stay safe, and make sure everyone has a good time.

About Your Trip

We are all about maximizing your time on the water and putting you on fish in the Pamlico River and surrounding Eastern NC waters. Trips launch from local ramps and typically involve short, efficient runs to productive inshore areas like flats, creek mouths, grass lines, and structure depending on conditions. The plan each day is built around tides, weather, and seasonal patterns so we’re always fishing where the bite is best.

You’ll be fishing from
a clean, comfortable inshore boat with quality electronics, safety gear, and top-notch tackle provided. I run solo as your captain and guide, which means you get a fully personalized experience with hands-on instruction and attention throughout the trip. Just bring your fishing license, food, and drinks everything else is covered.

What sets this trip apart is flexibility and local knowledge. Whether you want a relaxed day with friends or family, or a more focused trip targeting numbers or quality fish, we can tailor the experience to you. I fish these waters year-round and adjust locations, techniques, and pacing to match your goals and the conditions that day.

We use light-tackle inshore techniques with artificial lures and live bait depending on the bite. Target species include speckled trout, redfish, flounder, and other local inshore species. No matter your experience level, the goal is simple: work hard, have fun, and make it a trip you’ll want to book again.
