About Your Trip
Step aboard with Captain Randall for an exciting freshwater bowfishing adventure in the productive waters of Lake George and the St. Johns River. With nearly 30 years of experience, Captain Randall has spent decades learning these waters and guiding anglers to some of the best bowfishing opportunities Central Florida has to offer.
Bowfishing is a fast-paced and engaging way to fish, combining archery with fishing as you spot fish in the shallows and take your
shot using specialized bowfishing gear. Most trips take place after dark under powerful lights, when fish move into the shallows and become easier to spot. When a fish suddenly appears in the glow of the lights, you’ll need quick reflexes—because just as quickly as they appear, they can disappear again.
These waters are home to a wide variety of species, and depending on conditions you may have the chance to target tilapia, carp, catfish, gar, bowfin, mullet, and plecostomus. With multiple species cruising the shallows, every trip offers something a little different.
Your trip lasts 4 hours and is priced for up to 3 shooters, with room for up to 6 shooters total on the boat. Additional shooters can be added for an extra fee. Captain Randall provides all bowfishing equipment, including bows, arrows, and reels designed specifically for bowfishing, so you can arrive ready to hunt fish in the shallows.
Whether you’re new to bowfishing or have experience with a bow in hand, Captain Randall will walk you through the process and help you get comfortable with the gear. Many first-timers pick up the basics quickly, making this a great activity for friends, families, and groups looking for something different on the water.
If you harvest fish during the trip, fish cleaning is included at no additional cost. Just remember to bring a cooler if you plan to take your catch home.
Bowfishing in Florida is available year-round, making it a great option no matter when you visit. All you need to bring are snacks, drinks, and a valid Florida fishing license, and Captain Randall will take care of the rest. With experienced guidance, specialized equipment, and productive waters, this trip offers a memorable way to experience Florida’s freshwater fisheries.
