Early October 2026

Coming off of that full moon and kingtide, I've had to stick and move in Ormond and Flagler. Fish are scattered on the flats and shallows. Im basically get one to two bites per spot and if I don't get a bite in 10 to 15 minutes I'm moving to another spot. Flounder, redfish and snook have been on the menu snd catching them on finger mullet, shrimp and crab.

Early September 2026

Weather is kinda cooling down...well low 90s instead of upper 90s. Fish are firing off with redfish, snook, flounder and more... like an inshore/river kingfish (king mackerel) get it while the bite is good.

Mid August 2026

Bite is great at first loght for Redfish and Snook in the shallows in the Ormond Beach to Flager Beach area. Just fishing shrimp on a 1/0 SSW hook with a #5 split shot weight or no weight at all. Or if you have small finger mullet im hooking them on a 1/8oz or less jighead in the same spots. Port Orange is over run with Jacks in the river. Free line a live shrimp behind the boat while drifting the channel. For more fun tie on a topwater walking bait with at least 30lb mono. Jacks are ranging from tiny to 15lbs. Might get a surprise from a kingfish like I did.
