Captain Josh has been fishing in and around Destin, FL since he was 6 years old, bribing his older sister for rides to the pier, and has been charter fishing for the past 16 years. Josh has fished everywhere from the back bays of the Destin/Ft. Walton area to the offshore oil rigs. During Josh's 20+ years of fishing, he has had the opportunity to fish with some of Destin's finest captains, and has developed a reputation for being a well-respected fisherman as well as being great with kids of all ages. He won the Captain of the Year award in the Destin Fishing Rodeo from 2017-2019.
Throughout all his travels, he has found that his favorite type of fishing is inshore bay fishing for redfish, specifically spot casting for them in the shallow waters. As a father & husband, Josh also understands the importance of family; he loves helping other dads (& moms) teach their children how to fish. Our trip was with Capt Brodie. Pleasant, well intended guy. Our party had 4 teenage boys all proficient fishermen. 2 of 4 spent half the trip watching the other two fish, one would think having 4 rods rigged would be standard. Needless to say we cut the trip short by an hour.

If you plan on catching in shore fish bring your cane poles and bobbers, the mangroves are almost the size ofa decent mangrove :)
All in all blessed to spend the day with my boys and be on the water! Thats why they call it fishing, im sure there are great days to be had.
