Whether you're a first-timer or a seasoned pro, this light tackle trip is built to deliver. You’ll primarily
target the hard-hitting Peacock Bass—known for their vibrant colors and aggressive strikes—as well as a variety of native and exotic freshwater species that call these waters home. Depending on your location and conditions, your guide will have you sight casting in clear, shallow stretches or working structure to pull fish from their hiding spots. Either way, the bites come fast and the fights are unforgettable!
You’ll be fishing from a sleek and nimble 16’ Back Country Phantom flats boat. Designed for mobility and fishability, this lightweight vessel is built to navigate tight canals and shallow flats with ease, giving you access to the most productive and secluded spots. With space for up to 2 anglers, this setup keeps things personal, focused, and action-packed.
All rods, reels, bait, lures, and gear are provided, along with a few thoughtful extras like insect repellent, a camera for snapping your best catches, and medical supplies just in case. Just remember to bring your Florida freshwater fishing license (required for all anglers 16 and up), which you can easily purchase online before your trip.
Please note: these are strictly catch and release trips, designed to protect the fishery and keep the experience thriving for future anglers.
For your comfort and safety on the water, we recommend packing long-sleeve sun shirts, polarized sunglasses, a good hat, and non-slip footwear. And don’t forget sunscreen—this is South Florida, after all!
