Erasmo Valencia

Certified Damn Good Guide

Outfitter

Erasmo has been a professional fishing guide in Punta de Mita for over 30 years. He knows the clear, blue waters of the Banderas Bay like you know your own backyard. His boats are out on the water every single day. Erasmo speaks English very well and tries hard to make sure your time on the water is a great experience – whether this is your first deep-sea fishing trip or you are an experienced angler. Erasmo is also the go-to fly fishing guide in the area. He knows how to read the water, position the boat and get you on the fish- whether it’s Jack Cravelle, Mackeral, Roosterfish or any other species that are eager to slam your fly.

15/10 will go again! Thank you Captain Erasmo and Captain Zabdiel . Even though it was my first day on salt water and first time casting a 10 weight, they were able to level up my Colorado-grown river casting techniques to the saltwater experience. Within minutes of launching they had me on fish. It was a humbling and awe inspiring experience. They know the gear, the flies, the tides, the reefs, the techniques - everything it takes to get fishers on fish! They kept it light and fun and thrilling. And kept me focused despite the whales breeching around us! What a memoriable day on the water. And thank you Captain Experiences for connecting me with such phenomenal salt water fly fishing guides and making the entire process seamless (guide selection, payment, easy sourcing of license, and even fast text responses to my detailed questions). Highly recommend finding your next experience through Capt Ex!!!!
