From skiffs to tugboats, his experience runs deep—and now, as a USCG-licensed captain, he brings that expertise to every charter. Whether it’s your first time holding a rod or your hundredth trip on the water, Capt. Will is focused on giving you a fun, personal, and memorable day of fishing.

His passion for the Bay is matched by his ability to put anglers on fish. From understanding seasonal patterns to selecting the right lures or bait, he’s dialed in and ready to help you make the most of your trip.

You’ll fish aboard a 23' custom center console built for performance and comfort. Cruising at up to 40 knots, it’s fast enough to stay on the bite and roomy enough for up to five anglers. Depending on the season and target species, you’ll fish using artificial lures, cut bait, or live bait—all with light tackle custom-built by Capt. Will himself.

Middle River sits in the heart of the Chesapeake Bay region, and Captain William's five-hour light tackle trip puts you on productive water chasing striped bass, white perch, and catfish across some of the most storied fishing grounds on the East Coast. Departure times and locations flex with current, wind, and the latest fish patterns, meaning every trip is built around what the water is actually doing rather than a fixed plan that ignores conditions.

Artificial lures and live bait are both in play throughout the trip, with Captain William matching the presentation to the species and conditions of the day. Striped bass are the primary draw, a hard-fighting and iconic Chesapeake species that responds well to both methods depending on how and where they're feeding. White perch and catfish round out a target list that keeps options open and lines active throughout the five hours on the water.

This is a solo captain operation with no mate aboard, keeping the experience personal and straightforward. Captain William handles everything on the boat while you focus on fishing, working through the session with the kind of attentive, one-on-one approach that comes naturally on a smaller operation.

The 2021 23-foot Carolina Yachts center console is a comfortable and well-appointed platform for a full morning or afternoon on the water, with a livewell, casting deck, cushioned seating, a large cooler for food and drinks, and a swim platform with ladder. Storage for bags and clothing keeps the deck organized throughout the trip. There is no onboard restroom, so plan accordingly for the five hours on the water.
