South Florida Fishing Report Offshore action has been steady, with mahi fishing producing decent results in depths ranging from 900 to 1,500 feet of water. Anglers are finding success around broken debris and floating seaweed lines, where schools of mahi have been holding. Both artificial lures and live baits have been effective, giving fishermen plenty of opportunities throughout the day. On the reef, the snapper bite has really started to heat up. Yellowtail snapper have been the primary target, with solid catches of mangrove snapper and mutton snapper as well. We’re also still picking away at some quality red and black grouper here and there.
