Captain Bryan grew up fishing the waters off Virginia and North Carolina before eventually moving to the Outer Banks, where he spent years working around both offshore fishing and boat building.

During his time in Wanchese, North Carolina, Bryan worked for Scarborough Boatworks, gaining extensive hands-on knowledge of boats, offshore conditions, and fishing along the Atlantic coast.

Head out into the blue waters off Puerto Rico’s west coast with Captain Bryan for an offshore fishing adventure based out of Aguadilla. These trips combine trolling, reef fishing, and offshore exploration while targeting some of the Caribbean’s most exciting pelagic species just a short run from shore.

Fishing typically starts within a mile of the coastline and may extend anywhere from 5 to 15 miles offshore depending on weather, conditions, and where the fish are holding that day. The waters surrounding Aguadilla offer access to deep water quickly, allowing anglers more fishing time and less running time compared to many other offshore destinations.

Depending on the season and conditions, potential catches include Wahoo, Yellowfin Tuna, Blackfin Tuna, Albacore Tuna, Mahi Mahi, Kingfish, Snapper, Grouper, Cero Mackerel, and other offshore species.

Trolling is the primary technique used throughout the trip, though conditions may also allow for drift fishing and other offshore methods depending on what’s biting.

You’ll fish aboard a 25’ Pursuit center console powered by twin Suzuki 150s and equipped with outriggers, GPS, fishfinder electronics, built-in fish boxes, onboard cooler space, and snorkeling gear for guests wanting to enjoy more of Puerto Rico’s clear coastal waters.

These trips are family-friendly and suitable for anglers of all experience levels. Kids are welcome onboard, and Captain Bryan enjoys helping both beginners and experienced anglers enjoy their time on the water.

All rods, reels, tackle, lures, fishing licenses, ice, bottled water, and fish cleaning are included with the trip. Guests are welcome to bring additional snacks and drinks, and alcohol is allowed in moderation.

Beyond the fishing itself, these trips offer an opportunity to experience the scenic coastline, vibrant blue water, and marine life that make Puerto Rico’s west coast such a unique destination.

We had an incredible fishing trip with Bryon in Puerto Rico! From the moment we stepped on the boat, he made our family feel welcome and comfortable. He was especially amazing with our kids—patient, encouraging, and genuinely invested in making sure they had a great time. He took the time to teach them, celebrate every catch, and kept them engaged the entire trip.
