Join Thomas and his team for a classic Kansas pheasant and quail hunt in the Beloit area, where you'll pursue wild upland birds across the diverse habitat that has made Kansas one of the country's premier upland hunting destinations.
Hunts typically begin at 7:00 a.m. If you're not staying at the lodge, you'll likely meet the team in town before following them to the hunting grounds, so please plan to arrive on time and ready
for the day. Throughout the hunt, your group will move between multiple properties and hunting locations, giving you the opportunity to explore a variety of productive cover rather than hunting a single field. Expect to walk a mix of crop edges, draws, creek bottoms, grasslands, and shelterbelts that provide ideal habitat for both pheasants and quail.
This hunt is well-suited for hunters of all experience levels, from first-time upland hunters to seasoned bird chasers. Thomas and his team run experienced bird dogs that work hard to locate and retrieve birds throughout the day. Hunters are also welcome to bring their own dogs if they'd like to enjoy the experience alongside their four-legged hunting partners.
The focus of this hunt is wild Kansas pheasants and quail, offering an authentic upland experience. Current Kansas regulations allow a daily limit of four pheasants and eight quail per hunter.
Lodging is included and arranged in advance to best accommodate your group. After the hunt, Thomas and his team will assist with cleaning and preparing your birds so they're ready for the trip home.
We recommend bringing your shotgun, ammunition, hunting vest, sturdy boots, eye protection, weather-appropriate layers, and any personal gear you'd like to have in the field.
