Steve is passionate about fishing, especially fly-fishing, and ties all of his own flies as well as running his own fly and rod shop. Whether you're an experienced angler looking to try out a new environment, or a beginner looking to perfect your cast, Steve has all the tools and tricks
to ensure you have a great day on the water.
On this trip, you'll target Crappie, Largemouth Bass, and White Bass—all freshwater sport species known for their tenacious fighting abilities! These fish will crush lures and dry flies, so you can play to your own strengths. Steve will get you set up with whatever tackle is most suited to the weather, season, and conditions, so you can have the best possible shot at a personal best.
You'll be fishing from Steve's 17' Gator Tail mud boat, which is designed specifically for fishing shallow marshes and flats. You'll be able to get to hard-to-reach places where big fish like to hang out, and cast directly to the lunkers! Steve will bring along everything you need for a blue-ribbon day, including rods, reels, tackle, and flies. All you need is sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, and your Texas fishing license!
