Captain Craig’s story starts in Cranston, Rhode Island, but his fishing roots run deep through both New England and the Carolina coast. Summers were spent boating through Bullock’s Cove and around Prudence Island, while back home in North Carolina, he fished offshore of North Topsail Beach with his father. With a family history tied to the East Providence Yacht Club, it’s no surprise that Craig’s life has always revolved around the water. In 2020, he turned his lifelong experience into a career, earning his Captain’s License along with a 25-ton Master and towing endorsement.

Captain Barry grew up in Pamlico County, North Carolina, casting lines with his dad in the Neuse River and Core Sound. He’s been running boats since he was old enough to grip the tiller of a 9.9 Evinrude, and by 2014, he was regularly fishing offshore out of Beaufort Inlet. While he’s only recently made it official with a Captain’s License, Barry brings decades of time on the water and a deep love for the craft—especially when it ends with fresh fish on the plate. Triggerfish is his favorite, and he’s always eager to swap seafood recipes with guests.

Craig and Barry first met on a throw-together fishing trip and quickly became close friends. What started as a chance outing turned into a partnership built around hard-earned knowledge, mutual respect, and a desire to share the thrill of fishing with others. Their charters reflect that same spirit—laid-back, family-friendly, and laser-focused on putting you on the fish.

This trip is perfect for those looking to tackle a variety of classic gamefish species, including Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, and Billfish. You'll focus on trolling for these aggressive fish, all of which love to hit fast-moving lures and bait. Captain Barry knows how to put you where the fish are, but once that rod is out of the rod holder and in your hands, it's you versus the fish. Bring your strength, skills and stamina, because these fish will be on their A-game.

You'll get off the dock aboard your guide's 35' Bertram Sportfisher—the perfect boat for fishing the offshore waters of North Carolina. It's powered by twin 420 HP Caterpillar engines, so you'll be on the fish in no time at all. Captain Barry and Captain Craig will come prepared with everything you need for a great day, including rods, reels, bait, and tackle. He's an expert in these waters and will do everything he can to get you hooked up on a personal best! Bring along proper clothing, sunscreen, and a pair of polarized sunglasses to maximize your time on the water.
