Your adventure begins at a designated boat launch, with the meeting location selected based on the season, weather conditions, water clarity, and where the best fishing
opportunities are currently found. This flexibility allows Captain Matt to put you on the most productive water possible, whether that means fishing a local river system or nearby lake.
Throughout this 5-hour trip, you'll fish using a variety of proven techniques, including jigging, drifting, and dragging presentations. Rather than simply putting a rod in your hand, Captain Matt takes a teaching-focused approach, providing one-on-one instruction and explaining why certain techniques, presentations, and locations are effective. His goal is to help you develop skills and confidence that you can apply long after the trip is over.
With a maximum of just three guests aboard, everyone receives plenty of personal attention and opportunities to learn. Whether you're working a jig through current seams, drifting productive stretches, or fine-tuning your presentation, you'll gain valuable insight into reading water and adapting to changing conditions.
All tackle, gear, and bait are provided, so there's no need to bring any fishing equipment. Just pack weather-appropriate clothing, snacks, drinks, and a willingness to learn. Captain Matt looks forward to sharing his knowledge and helping you build skills while enjoying a great day on the water.
