Captain Wayne has been professionally guiding since 1976, building a lifetime of experience fishing throughout Oregon, Idaho, and Alaska. He specializes in salmon, steelhead, and sturgeon, spending much of his time on the Willamette, Columbia, and Clackamas Rivers, as well as Oregon's North Coast fisheries.

Throughout his career, Captain Wayne has been featured in outdoor publications and has shared his fishing knowledge through television, radio, and educational seminars. In 2001, he also co-founded a fly-in fishing camp on Alaska's Nushagak River.

For Captain Wayne, fishing is about more than the catch. He enjoys sharing his knowledge, helping anglers improve their skills, and seeing the excitement of someone landing their first salmon or their fiftieth. With decades of experience and a genuine passion for the sport, his goal is to make every trip one worth remembering.

Depending on the season, you'll fish the Willamette River, Columbia River, Tillamook Bay, or nearby tributaries in pursuit of hard-fighting Chinook salmon. Captain Wayne knows these waters inside and out, using techniques like trolling and back-trolling with herring, prawns, spinners, and plugs to put anglers in position for a bite.

You'll fish aboard a 25' jet sled, allowing Captain Wayne to navigate a variety of river conditions and reach productive fishing grounds.
