About Your Trip
If you're looking to make the most of your time fishing in Pentwater, Captain Sean and his crew are your ticket to a serious day on the water. With years of experience, a fully outfitted vessel, and a proven track record on the tournament scene, this team brings passion, skill, and local know-how to every trip.
They’re not just weekend anglers—this crew is tournament proven. They’re the 2025 LOC Ladies Pro Champs, placed 7th in
the 2024 Ludington 333 (out of 85+ boats), and took 1st in the 2023 Pentwater Charter Boat Challenge. Their tournament history also includes a 3rd-place finish and Big King win at the 2022 Manistee Monster Tournament, plus a rare 70+ lb box in the 333 circuit—a feat accomplished by only one boat in 20 years. Even their very first pro tournament in 2021 ended with a 6th-place finish in Frankfort. Safe to say—you’re in good hands.
You’ll be trolling the rich waters of Lake Michigan for Chinook and Coho Salmon, Steelhead (Rainbow Trout), and Brown Trout. In 2023, the crew landed three Master Angler Steelhead in just one month—testament to both the quality of the fishery and the experience of the crew.
Your day will be spent aboard a 33’ Cruiser, built for comfort and serious fishing. It has room for up to 6 guests and comes equipped with downriggers, radar, GPS, a fishfinder, refrigerator, and an enclosed head (toilet) for your convenience.
Trips include all the rods, reels, tackle, and lures you’ll need, and all edible fish are cleaned and filleted at the marina fish station at no extra charge. First Mate Dan is a U.S. Coast Guard-licensed captain himself, meaning you’ll have two seasoned captains working to put you on fish. A 10–20% tip is appreciated for the crew's effort.
Kids are welcome, and if you don’t have a child-sized life vest, just ask ahead of time. You’re also encouraged to bring snacks and drinks to stay fueled—alcohol is allowed in moderation (no hard liquor or glass bottles, please). Be sure to pack non-spray sunscreen, sunglasses, and plenty of water.
You’ll be trolling for:
Chinook Salmon
Coho Salmon
Steelhead (Rainbow Trout)
Brown Trout
