With decades on the water and a legacy rooted in fishing, Captain Joseph brings unmatched experience to every trip. His father was a founding member of B.A.S.S., so fishing runs deep in his veins. Starting as a deckhand, Joseph worked his way up to captain, running commercial grouper, stone crab, and net boats throughout his career.

Based in St. Petersburg, FL, he offers everything from inshore light tackle trips to offshore bottom fishing and sportfishing adventures. Whether you're chasing Snapper in the shallows or heading deep for Grouper, Captain Joseph knows how to put you on the fish.

He runs two fully equipped boats: A 35’ Jefferson Yachts Marlago with twin 300 HP Suzukis & A 25’ custom C-Hawk with a 250 HP Suzuki.

First Mate Chris joins him on board to help keep things running smoothly. With this experienced team, you're set for an awesome day on the water.

What’s the biggest fish you’ve caught?

Huge from 500b Goliath grouper to Saw fish that are 14 feet long,. Tarpon in the 180 pb range Marlin in the 500 lb range or yellow fin tuna uo to 200 lb or most recently a 58.8 lb cubera snapper on 20b test that was very close to a if world record. There have been quite a few “ biggest fish ”

I like all types of music so thats a hard one .

How did you get started guiding?

I was previously a commercial fisherman and have fished for a living most of my life. I also build boats so it kinda just happened as it was a easy transition .

What makes you different from other guides?

I bring my little dog with me . I specialise in light tackle fishing to keep the action hot. I fish light for the bite
