Hi, I’m Captain Rob, and I guide unforgettable inshore fishing adventures in the stunning marshes of Shell Beach, Louisiana. Known as the "Sportsman’s Paradise," these waters are brimming with redfish, speckled trout, flounder, and more. Whether you’re here for the thrill of the catch or to soak in the natural beauty of Louisiana’s marshlands, this is the perfect destination to create lasting memories on the water.

My journey into guiding started with a simple love of fishing and sharing that passion with others. After years of taking friends out on the water, they started inviting their friends, and soon I realized this was more than a hobby—it was my calling. That’s when I earned my captain’s license and turned my dream into a career. Since then, I’ve been fortunate to spend my days doing what I love most. As they say, when you love what you do, it never feels like work.

I run my trips aboard a 24-foot Blue Wave bay boat powered by a 300 HP Yamaha engine. Fully outfitted with everything needed for success—from a trolling motor and power poles to advanced radar and GPS—this boat allows us to reach the best fishing spots in comfort. Whether you’re a beginner eager to learn or an experienced angler looking to sharpen your skills, I customize every trip to suit your needs.

What sets me apart as a guide is my genuine love for teaching and connecting with people. I’m not just here to put you on fish—I’m here to share techniques, tell stories, and make sure you’re having as much fun as possible. Seeing someone light up after reeling in a big catch or learning something new is what drives me. My goal is to make every trip more than just a day on the water—it’s an adventure you’ll never forget.

What’s the biggest fish you’ve caught?

27-inch speckled trout. It was a thrill to reel in such a trophy-sized fish right here in Louisiana’s marshes, and moments like that are why I love guiding others to their own unforgettable catches!

If you were cooking for all your friends what would you cook?

It would have to be crawfish. There’s nothing better than a good crawfish boil to bring everyone together, with all the flavors and fun that come with it—it’s a true Louisiana tradition!

What’s your favorite band?

Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. Their music has a timeless quality, and songs like 'Free Fallin’' and 'American Girl' never fail to put me in a great mood.

What’s your favorite movie?

Forrest Gump. One of the best lines from the movie—'Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you’re gonna get'—reminds me of fishing in the marsh. The marsh is like a box of chocolates—you never know what you’re gonna catch!

What’s your drink of choice?

Is a glass of southern-style sweet tea with lemon. It’s refreshing, classic, and perfect for winding down after a day on the water.

What was your last halloween costume?

was a pirate parrot. It was a hit—pirates might get the treasure, but the parrot gets all the laughs!

How did you get started guiding?

I got started guiding by taking friends out fishing. They had such a great time that they started bringing their friends, and eventually people were asking me to take them out—and they were willing to pay! At that point, I didn’t have my captain’s license, so I decided to get certified so I could do what I love for a living. They say when you do what you love, you never work a day in your life, and that’s exactly how I feel about guiding.

What makes you different from other guides?

is that I truly love what I do. I’m passionate about teaching people how to catch fish and showing them different techniques to improve their skills. I get just as much joy out of seeing someone’s face light up when they reel in a great catch as they do. My goal is to make sure every guest has an unforgettable experience and enjoys their adventure with me out on the water.
