Captain Scott is a Coast Guard-licensed captain and a 3rd generation native Floridian. He was handed down the tradition and local knowledge of fishing Florida waters by both his grandfathers and his father. He has been fishing the local waters for the last 35 years. He has a love for the outdoors and knows the local waters like the back of his hand. He is a proven tournament winner – 1st place 2018 Suncoast Tarpon Shootout, 1st place biggest Tarpon 2017 White Buffalo Suncoast Tarpon Shootout, with 3rd place most releases, 2016 Suncoast Tarpon Shoot Out 2nd place overall, 2018 Economy Tackle Bass on Fly tournament 1st place. All kids are welcome on his charters, he loves sharing this great fishery and the outdoors with the next generation. The look on their face when they reel in the big one keeps him going! October's off to a great start as our pelagic fish are starting to move south. The bait is plentiful inside the passes and around grass flats . We are consistently catching Cobia, bonita, kingfish and Spanish mackerel at the nearshore reefs using live Pilchards . Covering the entire water Column is key , triple tail are starting to be targeted as the stone crab traps are put out. Typically we run full speed by the stone trap bouys looking for triple tail and then we sight cast to them . October and November are prime triple tail months . Also this is a great time to target blacktip sharks under the schools of mackeral using cut bait on wire leaders . Inside the bay sea trout, snook and redfish are feeding before winter . Using live Pilchards is key. I typically am out an hour before the charter catching hundreds of live Pilchards giving us a great chance for a non stop fishing adventure.

Inshore fishing in sarasota continues to remain very good. We are bringing home limits of mangrove snapper that are finishing out their spawn, the snapper will continue to bite for the next few weeks as we transition into our fall pattern. Snook are starting to make their way back into the bay and are transitioning getting ready to head back into the creeks and rivers. We are catching decent size snook at the higher stages of the tide around mangroves. Shots at juvenile Tarpon are being had early in the morning as they roll on the surface. Spotted sea trout are starting to make good showings on the edges of deeper grass flats, some smaller schools of Spanish mackerel and bluefish are also around the deeper grass flats. We are catching plenty of live white bait in the morning and that has proven to be key for a successful trip.
